Welcome to Liver Update 2013 in Ahmedabad
Dear colleagues and friends,
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to attend our 5th conference on Liver Surgery which is to be held in Ahmedabad on September 22, 2013. This event is organized by Gujarat Liver and Digestive surgery Clinic (GLDC), Gujarat Liver Cancer Clinic (GLCC) in association with Sterling Hospitals.
Gallbladder carcinoma is the common gastrointestinal malignancy and the most common biliary tract malignancy worldwide. The clinical and radiologic detection of gallbladder carcinoma at a curative stage remains problematic. Recent advances in imaging and surgical techniques along with emerging options in palliative chemotherapy have improved the outlook in this cancer. The management in a multidisciplinary environment would become central to achieving optimal outcomes in this group of patients.
Liver Update 2013 hopes to provide an ideal opportunity for all these disciplines that contributes to the management of patients with Gallbladder Cancer. This one-day event will be divided into five sessions with talks presented by experts in the field based on best level of evidence available from the literature. The meeting will consist of lectures, master videos and panel discussions involving world-renowned authorities and experts. The subject material is selected in a way to pass on recent updates and to provide you with state-of-the-art information. This meeting is designed to aid you in improving your expertise in the care of patients with Gallbladder Cancer.
