Modern treatment options for Liver Metastases
Where are the limits?

Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to attend our 9th conference on Liver Surgery which is to be held in Ahmedabad on September 10, 2017. The theme of this meeting is "Modern treatment options for Liver Metastases- Where are the limits?". This event is organized by Gujarat Liver and Digestive Surgery Clinic (GLDC), Gujarat Liver Cancer Clinic (GLCC) in association with Sterling Hospitals.

Metastatic liver cancer is a common clinical problem. The treatment of metastatic liver cancer has substantially evolved during the past decade and has achieved significant therapeutic success. The management of these metastatic liver tumors is a nexus of interactions among multiple medical specialties. A multitude of liver-directed therapies are available for patients, ranging from surgery and systemic therapies to intra-arterial therapies, thermal ablation procedures and radiation treatments. Multidisciplinary treatment of these patients has shown encouraging results in improving the chances for a cure.

Liver Update 2017 is designed to promote the interprofessional management of metastatic liver cancers by increasing understanding of the multidisciplinary cancer care model, with a focus on interprofessional communication. The programme includes eminent speakers from a range of disciplines, highlighting new developments in the areas of liver-directed surgery, chemotherapy and liver-directed therapies. The interactive sessions will bring together a range of perspectives and experience from the multidisciplinary team and provide an opportunity for all delegates to participate. The special sessions would provide insight into a strategy for improving resectability with curative intent & discussion on the emerging role of new agents for the treatment of metastatic liver cancer.

On behalf of the organizing committee I extend our warmest invitation to attend Liver Update 2017. We hope that you will enjoy the meeting and your participation and contribution will stimulate a creative exchange of ideas. We expect it to be memorable meeting and invite you to actively participate in the scientific meeting.

We look forward to welcoming you to Liver Update 2017 in Ahmedabad.

Sincerely,

Dr Hitesh Chavda
